Event - Bockleton Residential 2009

21 April to 1 May 2009

35 pupils from Year 4 and 5 from Clifton Primary have spent an action packed week at Bockleton Study Centre from 27th April until 1st May.

Staff and children spent the week taking part in fun-packed activities such as rock climbing, pond dipping, dam building, rope courses and team building. Some of us were even daring enough to take on the 'zip-wire' challenge; over 15 metres up in the air!

New for this year was an environmental art session, where pupils used materials from nature to create sculpture.

Another highlight of the week was the opportunity to visit Ludlow; including a tour of the Castle and River, a walk around the town and a tiring but rewarding walk up the Church Tower (over 200 steps!)

The week was as much about living and working together as a team as the actual activities and the pupils did brilliantly to organise mealtimes, tidy rooms and play effectively together.

School and Study Centre were delighted with the effort, attitude and behaviour of the pupils, who were a credit to their schools. Well done everyone.

We will be visiting Bockleton again next Year with Northfield Manor School, so if you will be in Year 4 and 5 from September, watch out for your invite!
