Event - Heartstart Training

June 2012

Children across school have been taking part in Hearstart training in order to learn Emergency Life Support (ELS) skills. This programme is provided by the British Heart Foundation and teaches people what to do in a life-threatening emergency.

The children have learnt different skills depending on their age, and whilst it is hoped they'll never have to use them, they now know what to do in an emergency.

The skills include dialling 999, keeping a casualty warm and using the recovery position.
