Event - Year 1's Mother's Day Assembly

20 March 2009

On Friday all of Year 1 performed in a wonderful assembly to celebrate Mother's Day. We sang two songs about how we were going to behave for our mums and what a good job they do in looking after us.

Class 1T read out some poems they had been writing for their mummies, while 1K told the story of a monkey who had lost his mummy in the 'Monkey Puzzle' story. 1S showed us pictures they had painted of their mums and entertained us with a special edition of 'Family Fortunes'! 1K also performed a super 'Supermum!' dance.

Lots of mummies came to watch and were given daffodils. We hope that they had a lovely and relaxing Mothers' Day .

This mummy is a very lucky mummy!

This monkey tries to find its mummy in the story of the Monkey Puzzle.

Look at the lovely pictures of our mummies!

We love this 'Supermum' dance!
