Event - Science Trip to Birmingham Thinktank

June 2010

In June, 16 children were chosen to go on a special trip to the Thinktank, Birmingham's very own science museum. We enjoyed discovering about the past, the present and the future on the different museum levels.

In the past Birmingham was three times smaller than it is today.

We also enjoyed an exciting Lego Control workshop session where we programmed robots and gave them instructions to carry out tasks that we decided. Yep, we were in control!

After the Lego Control workshop, we had an amazing time in the Planetarium where we had a virtual trip into space and a thrilling ride on a space rollercoaster! It was a really enjoyable day.

The Past: This hologram shows what it was like being a Victorian metal smith. I know that I wouldn't like to earn a burn scar everyday!

The Present: Here are two of our very own super scientists on the imitation cars.
