Event - Year 1 trip to Weston-Super-Mare

As part of our topic about 'holidays' Year 1 visited the seaside at Weston-Super-Mare.

We had to leave very early in the morning and had a long coach journey to get there. We were all so excited and couldn't wait to see the sea!

As soon as we arrived we took off our shoes and socks to paddle in the sea. Some of us got quite wet so it was lucky we had taken some spare clothes!

We had a picnic on the beach then spent the rest of the afternoon playing on the sand and building sand castles. We all had a chance to have a donkey ride and bought a souvenir from the shop.

We finished off our lovely day with an ice cream. We all got back on the coach and waved goodbye to the seaside.
