Event - Year 3 Languages Day

The European Day of Languages is a time to celebrate the 6,000+ languages spoken around the world, promote language learning and have some multilingual fun!

We celebrated this at Clifton during the last week in September. Look at the fun we had!


The children had to locate important cities.
 
They learned all about the important buildings found in Italy like the Colloseum and the Vatican City.

The children tasted foods from Italy such as olives, mozzarella cheese and Italian bread.
 
The children learnt some Italian phrases such as Cioa, Buongiorno, Arrivederci, Come stai, Bene, grazie.

They had to research some facts about Italy such as what the capital city is and where the Pope lives.
 
The children learned about Italian lifestyle and culture.
