Event - Dads Join in the Fun

10 February 2010

On Wednesday 10th February the dads of children in our SAG (Strategic Achievement Group) came to school for a fun packed morning to prepare for the annual trip to Tamworth, on March 30th.

Led by Mr Lamprey and Mr Anfous, dads and kids took part in a multi skills workshop and an ICT session based on Tamworth Castle. During the multi skills, everyone enjoyed running, jumping and throwing in order to score points for their team. We built up quite a sweat and the dads were very fair in their scoring.

Later we searched the Internet to answer a quiz about Tamworth Castle, with children helping their dads with computer skills.

A great morning was had by all, with one Year 2 pupil exclaiming "it was great to do activities with my dad!"

The workshop was part of a year long programme of events for Yemeni pupils and their parents, designed raise achievement and self esteem, while celebrating their culture.
