Event - Year 2 Make Healthy Lunch Boxes

29 October 2012

As an exit point to our IPC topic on being healthy, each Year 2 class helped to plan, design, buy and eat our own healthy lunch boxes.

Once we had finished designing what we wanted to have inside, we took a trip down to the Ladypool Road with our teachers.

We headed straight towards Raja Brothers were we were able to use our shopping lists to find all of the food we needed. When we found the right food, we then took it to the checkout to have it weighed and priced.

With a little help from our teachers we were able to give the money to the kind man behind the checkout. In return he gave us our food in a bag and a receipt; some of us even have some change left over.

It was really fun spending the money in the shop. However, the best bit was yet to come! Once we got back to our classrooms we made our lunchboxes and then we ate them! They tasted really good.
