Event - Multi-Skills Mania!

26 March 2009

Key Stage 1 pupils in the Calthorpe Cluster have had the opportunity to develop their agility, balance and co-ordination in exciting multi skills events at Joseph Chamberlain College Sports Centre.

Building on the skills that they have developed in PE lessons, Year 2 Clifton and Christ Church pupils had the opportunity to compete in preliminary and qualifying rounds, with Class 2R progressing to the Calthorpe School Sport Partnership Final on Thursday 26th March.

Pitting their wits against Parkhill and Sladefield Schools, the Clifton Team performed brilliantly in a range of throwing, jumping and sprinting races, designed to test their agility, balance and co-ordination (ABCs.)

The boys and girls were particularly brilliant at the agility event, scoring over 100 in three minutes! In the end Clifton finished as winners of the first ever Calthorpe School Sport Partnership final.

Well done to the team and the whole of Year 2 for an excellent terms Multi Skills work!

Watch out for the Year 1 multi skills festival in the first week of July .
