Event - Year 6 trip to London
March 2010
This recount is to tell you all about our trip to London. Everyone in year 6 went; this was part of our IPC topic.
Early in the morning, we set off on the coaches, there were three of them! The journey took about 3 hours; we stopped at a service station half way through.
When we arrived, Mrs Mitchell gave us a walking tour. The tour was long but it was fascinating- we even saw Buckingham Palace! After that, we visited the houses of Parliament, Trafalgar square and Westminster Abbey!
After we had our lunch, we went to the BBC television centre; we had another tour! The lady showed us how the 'blue screen, green screen' works for the weather people. We did a lot of activities and even saw the studios. At the end of our tour, Yousef and I pretended to be Dick and Dom – it was very funny!
I can't wait to go to London again, maybe with my family - they will enjoy it.
