Uniform
The wearing of school uniform is requested by the school Governors. By wearing a school uniform the children have a common identity and feel a sense of belonging to the school.
At Clifton Primary our school uniform is as follows:
Winter

Winter uniform.
Nursery to Year 6
- Red sweatshirts (cardigans may be worn by girls)
- White shirts
- Grey trousers or skirt
- Flat, black shoes (not trainers)
- Headscarves may be worn by girls – red preferably
Summer
Nursery to Year 6
- White short sleeved shirts (red gingham dresses may be worn by girls)
- Grey trousers, shorts or skirt
- Flat, black shoes (not trainers)
- Headscarves may be worn by girls – red preferably
PE and Swimming Kit

PE Kit
All children are required to wear a PE kit for physical development activities. Our PE kit consists of:
- Red polo shirt or t-shirt
- Black shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms
- Black pumps or trainers.
Each child from Year 2 to Year 4 will go swimming with their class for one term as part of the National Curriculum. Therefore, your child will need a swimming costume and towel for swimming sessions.
Purchasing Uniform
All items are available in generic form (without the school logo) from any of the large supermarkets.
Sweatshirts, cardigans, book bags, PE bags and polo shirts, embroidered with the school’s logo, are available from:

We do hold a few sweatshirts in school which you can purchase from staff at our main reception.
Important Notes
Please ensure that all uniform and PE items are clearly marked with your child's name and class to prevent them being lost or taken home by another child.
Jewellery and make-up, including Kohl eyeliner, must not be worn.
