Head's Welcome

Mr Lambert, our Headteacher.

Welcome to all pupils, parents, carers and staff!

I am delighted to be joining the team here at Clifton Primary School and very much look forward to working with you all.

As you all know already there are many things to be positive about at Clifton and I have already seen lots of evidence! I very much believe that children need to feel happy and safe to make the most of their learning. It is therefore great to see children settling in so well and teachers as always establishing strong routines to ensure pupils are ready to learn.

However, we also want to make Clifton as good as it can possibly be so we have started looking at a number of things. We will be undertaking a review of the school’s safeguarding procedures to make sure they remain effective. This will include general site security as well as looking at the beginning and end of the day when you bring and collect your child. In addition we will also be looking at behaviour and in particular how children move around the school.

We will of course have a strong emphasis on teaching and learning as this is what we are all about! Our priorities for further improving Clifton will be available on the website in the next few days.

I have been able to say hello to some of you at the gates and hope to meet many more of you over the coming weeks.

I very much look forward to working with you.

Many thanks.
